" When you pray, say: Our Father..."
Jesus said this words when was teaching His disciples to pray.
It's one of the biggest honnors to us, earthy fathers, that God want be called Father also; and more: "Dad" or "Daddy", doubtless! But such expression evoke another aspect, hidden sometimes: God wants affective relationship! He doesn't want just be the "Superior Being", "Lord of hosts", "Supreme Spirit", "Great Architect", "God of Israel" and "God of the Gods", but He wants to be "Heaven's Dad", "Our Father" and "Daddy ".
He created us in His own image, and we need more than serious functional relations, we need affectionate relations!
There is not intimacy without affection! There is no confidence without affection! There is no communion without affection! Our God is affectionate, His love passes knowledge! He has pleasure and suffuse in His sons! And only developes relation of son who develope it in the affective camp too, throughout words and motions!
This is why today, Father's Day, must be to the Christians who has known the affectionate love of the Celestial Father a day of concrete manifestations of tenderness! No matter it already is, it isn't, or never have been his custom, open your heart and say: Dad I love you, with a fastness hug and affectionate kiss and the more words would be canned or unsaid! The Celestial Father will look, smile and wil feel Himself gratifyed and Lord of tenure.
